Introducing the World Dirt Weather Spinner

Introducing the WDR Weather Spinner! As mentioned with the SX Facility drop, all tracks will be built for dry and wet conditions. To increase the realism of this series, we built a weather spinner to determine when a race will be a rain race or a dry race. Here's how it works:

  1. We pick the current round from the drop-down and fetch the weather.

  2. The spinner pulls real forecast data for that round’s real-world location.

  3. It checks the rain chance for the next 24 hours.

  4. That percentage becomes the chance of landing on a rain race.

  5. We spin for wheel.

  6. The wheel decides the race condition using the real rain probability.

Example: if a round has a 96% rain chance, the spinner gives a 96% chance of landing on Rain Race and a 4% chance of landing on Dry Race.

Note: Practice/Qualifying will always be dry. The rest of the races of the evening will be determined by the spinner, race-by-race. A heat could be dry, while a main could be rain, or a heat could be rain while the main is dry. The spinner will be the decider based on the percentage.

We’ll be using the spinner for R1 onward, it will not be applied to the Cup race.

Also, you can now also see the probability of rain for the current day on tracks page as well if you want to know if you should practice the tracks in wet conditions when they drop.
