Official 2026 Rulebook

Last Updated: May 2026

1. Eligibility & Registration

  • Licensing: All riders are required to hold a valid World Dirt Racing license to compete in championship classes and be eligible for the prize pool. Licenses are non-refundable.

  • Skill Placement: Riders must register for the class corresponding to their proven skill level. GUIDs will be cross-checked against other major series databases. Any rider found competing at a lower level or evading a ban will be immediately disqualified or required to move up a class. Riders who have won a previous Am championship in the One-One SMX series or WDR series must race the Pro-Am class the following year.

  • Series Locking: Riders may only compete in one championship class per season.

    • Exception: Riders are permitted to move up a tier during the season. If a rider chooses or is required to move up, they must pay the license fee difference to continue competing. Riders can also move down, however, only if zero points have been gained after 3 rounds without being able to qualify, or zero points after 5 rounds if you qualify but don't make a main event. If a rider chooses to move down, they will not be refunded the difference in the license fee.

  • Event Confirmation: Riders are strictly required to confirm their signup for each individual round via MyMXB.com prior to the deadline.

2. Bike & Technical Requirements

  • Approved Machinery: Riders may only compete using bikes from the official approved bike list. Using an unapproved bike will result in immediate disqualification (DQ).

  • Cheating & Hacks: World Dirt Racing has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating. Any use of joypad assist exploits, hacking software, or modified game files to gain an advantage will result in a permanent ban.

  • Connection Issues:

    • If a rider disconnects, crashes, or experiences technical difficulties and does not cross the finish line, they will receive a DNF. Position will not be reinstated unless explicitly authorized by a Race Admin due to server-side failure.

    • Riders must start and finish the race under their own power to receive points.

3. Race Day Protocol

  • Mandatory Briefing: All riders must check the official Discord channel "race-day-pings" prior to every race for round-specific rule changes or hazard warnings.

  • Load-In Time: Riders must be loaded into the race server within 10 minutes of the session starting. Late arrivals may be locked out.

  • Start Gate Etiquette: Text chat spamming while on the starting gate is strictly prohibited. Admins need clear visibility to monitor for jump-starts.

  • Track Entry: Do NOT ride onto the track during the joining period, Heat, or LCQ if you are not currently racing. This disrupts the track erosion (deform) and can cause server glitches.

  • Qualifying laps: Laps must be started on track. Starting a lap off-track to gain a speed advantage could lead to disqualification.

4. On-Track Regulations

  • Track Limits: Riders must race the track as designed.

    • All track markers, Tuff Blocks, and boundary indicators must be respected.

    • Cutting the track, crossing split lanes, or bypassing obstacles will result in penalties.

  • Fair Racing: Riders must race cleanly. Intentional punting, cross-jumping, or targeting other riders is prohibited.

  • Hazardous Riding: Riders deemed a hazard to competitors (due to lag, lack of bike control, or erratic behavior) are subject to immediate removal, DQ, or points deductions.

  • Blue Flags: Lapped riders must obey the Blue Flag. You must hold your line or safely move aside to let the leaders pass. Fighting the leaders while a lap down will result in a penalty.

5. Joker Lane Rules

  • For tracks featuring a Joker Lane, the following rules apply:

    • The Joker Lane must be taken after crossing the finish line for the second time (Lap 2 onwards).

    • Failure to take the Joker Lane, or taking it prior to the allowed lap, will result in a One-Lap Penalty.

    • Entering and exiting the Joker Lane should be taken with caution. Carelessly entering or exiting in a way that can cause other riders to crash could result in a penalty.

6. Code of Conduct

  • Sportsmanship: We expect professional behavior. Harassment, excessive toxicity, or being a "nuisance" to the admins or other riders will not be tolerated.

  • Penalty Authority: Admins reserve the right to disqualify a rider for a single race or the entire series based on conduct violations.
